Paris verticillata a Japanese perennial woodland plant common throughout the mountainous forests of Togakushi, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
The high altitude forests of Japan are home to a wide variety of floral species of which Paris is one of them. An unusual plant as one can see in this picture with the strange flower perched on a whorl of leaves. The flower is eventually followed by a dark purple berry. Paris is related to Trillium which is also a species of flora located in the nearby vicinity. |
