Katakuri no Hana

Dog's Tooth Violet (Erythronium japonicum) flowering in spring in the mountainous woodlands of Japan. In Japan this flower is amongst one of the first to flower after winter hence heralds the spring. The Japanese name is Katakuri-no-Hana.
