Katakuri-No-Hana or Erythronium japonicum is a species of lily native to Japan, Korea and northeastern China. An abundance of flowers amidst the forests of Togakushi, Nagano Prefecture, Japan during the month of May. The corm of Katakuri no Hana or in Japanese Dog's Tooth Violet is from where starch is processed from, in Japan one can buy Katakuri flour which is often used as a sauce thickener. |
