Symphytum officinale otherwise known as Comfrey, a valuable source of fertilizer to the organic gardener and found in abundance in parts of Japan throughout the spring months.
Comfrey also known as Comphrey is a perennial herb with multiple uses, for the herbalist it has therapeutic benefits though can cause liver toxicity. For the organic gardener an excellent fertiliser and compost activator.
