It's a very scenic and picturesque place with lofty mountain peaks, terraced rice paddies and traditional villages of the ethnic minorities.
Fansipan or Fan Si Pan is the major mountain peak here at 3,143m altitude. Only 9km southwest of Sa Pa town it is dubbed as 'The Roof of Indochina' and an ecotourist spot due to its many species of flora and fauna. |
