Amanita muscaria fungi more commonly known as the Fly Agaric or Fly Amanita growing in the damp and humid autumnal forests of Togakushi, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
The agarics are not only highly poisonous mushrooms or toadstools but the species in this image Amanita muscaria is also a psychoactive fungus with Hallucinogenic properties.
There are several sub-species with differing cap colour such as the yellowish Amanita Muscaria var Guessowii and the brown Amanita Regalis otherwise known as the King of Sweden Amanita. |
