Pholiota limonella growing anywhere it can get a hold, this group are attached to a Japanese White Birch Tree in the autumnal forests of Togakushi, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
Pholiota Limonella is a big mushroom with an extremely greasy, slimy yellowish cap dotted with brownish scales. It is often found growing on downed logs or standing dead trees. A very similar species is Pholiota Aurivella or the Golden Scalycap. |
