Pholiota Limonella fungi in an advanced stage of maturity, as the caps age they seem to become more and more sticky, this group are seen growing on a Japanese White Birch in the forests of Togakushi, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
Pholiota Limonella is a big mushroom with an extremely greasy, slimy yellowish cap dotted with brownish scales. It is often found growing on downed logs or standing dead trees.
A very similar species is Pholiota Aurivella or the Golden Scalycap. |
