Red spells danger! Especially when it's mushrooms that are as vibrantly coloured as this....
These are Hygrocybe spp. of fungi commonly known as Waxcaps. Quite possibly Hygrocybe conicoides but or the Dune Waxcap but that is'nt a certainty. These were discovered growing in the autumnul forests around Kagami Ike (Mirror Pond) in Togakushi, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. |
