Alexander Nevsky Cathedral was built in 1894-1900. It is situated on Castle Square in front of Toompea Palace in Tallinn, Capital of the Baltic country Estonia.
Toompea or Cathedral Hill is a limestone hill located in the centre of Tallin's ancient old town. This monochrome image was taken on the road leading from the lower town to Toompea.
The cobblestone streets and narrow alleyways give the place and intriguing sense of history and a lot of character and that is why it is on Unesco's World Heritage List.
