Macro shot of Hemerocallis or Daylily petal. These flowering plants are very varied in colour and extremely flambouyant. The name is a give away as to their flowering nature. Within one day the large showy flowers will open at sunrise and wither by sunset only to be replaced the next day with more of the same. The beauty of this cycle is that it goes on for long periods throughout the summer months in temperate climates. |
