Happy-go-lucky Laotian kids in the old French colonial town of Savannakhet in Southern Laos. Savannakhet is a beautiful and peaceful town located beside the Mekong River. In 2007 the second Thai/Laos Friendship bridge was opened here making it possible to travel over to the Thai town of Mukdahan and into Thailand proper. Mukdahan can be seen over the river from Savannakhet. |
