Corrugated iron surrounds a typical Laotian house in Savannakhet, Southern Laos. One can see a great deal of wood built structures in Laos many of which especially in the countryside are built on stilts to ensure they don't get flooded in the tropical rainy season that affects the country for a few months every year. The residents of this dwelling seem to very resourceful with the use of corrugated sheeting to protect against the climate. |
