Hundreds of mini Buddha's at Zenkoji Buddhist Temple in Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
Zenko-ji is a famous buddhist temple in Japan which was built in the 7th century. The main Buddhist image which is a Buddha statue is known as 'Hibutsu' or secret Buddha and is never shown to the public. This is said to be the first Buddha statue that was ever brought to Japan.
A replica of this statue has been created and is shown once every six years which as could be expected attracts many worshippers and visitors from all over Japan. |
