Male Migrant Hawker (Aeshna mixta) resting on a dried plant stem. Very similar species to the Common Hawker but a distinguishing feature is the small yellow triangle or T-shaped mark at the front of the abdomen. Mainly inhabits still waters and is on the wing from June to October. |
