Ukimath is a small and beautiful traditional Indian village in the Himalayan foothills. The ancient Temple or 'Mandir' of Ukimath is the winter home of Kedarnath temple deity and the seat of the Rawal of Kedarnath hence worship is done here through the winter months.
Its location affords stunning views of the snow capped Himalayan peaks of Kedarnath and Neelkanth and the village is full of character with old cobble stone streets and aged buildings. |
