Zhongdian Drying Frames

This village on the plateau near Zhongdian or Shangrila is full of these wooden frames that are used to dry such crops as corn during the cropping season. Not much grows at this altitude (3,400m) but what does quickly dries when cropped and placed on these frames. With the force of Himalayan winds whipping through them and the power of the intense high altitude sun. Primitive apparatus but very effective.
