The Yi ethnic minority group are to be found in abundance in Yuanyuang county of Yunnan Province. They are the 7th largest ethnic minority group in China, numbering over 7 million. They are very colourful as far as tribals go and the women exceptionally so as can be seen in this portrait image. This lady is wearing the embroidered top typical of the Yi tribe along with a vivid coloured headdress.
