Chinese Houses

Traditional Chinese houses can still be found in China, here they stand amongst the rice paddies near Xizou town in Yunnan, China. The rooftiles are typical of a bygone era and materials that make up these old buildings are extremely natural for the better part which gives them their very own charm and appealing character. This is architecture of the Bai ethnic minority group, one of the 56 ethnic groups recognised by the 'Peoples Republic of China'.
